Kevin Champeny - Composites/Resins Engineer

Kevin Champeny is self taught in drawing and painting and discovered a love for sculpting while attending Beloit College, receiving a BA in Studio Art with a focus in Education and Art History. Kevin has sculpted professionally for the past 16 years for companies such as, Warner Brothers, Jellio, Disney, Patron, Lenox Crystal, etc. Kevin was recently the Molding and Casting director for Utley's Inc. for 15 years, specializing in high quality and high volume polyurethane, silicone, and many other types of resin castings. Kevin has also spent many years developing urethanes, custom formulated to push the boundaries of production. He was recently the production manager for Jellio.com for the last 7 years, responsible for the production of approximately 50,000 hand cast resin pieces per year. His role at Jellio also included the design and fabrication of countless prototypes and production pieces. Kevin has also worked as a consultant for various companies to set up fully integrated molding and casting departments tailored to each company's needs. Kevin has been able to combine a passion for tedium and a skill for learning in his own highly intricate sculptures containing in excess of 30,000-40,000 hand cast parts. His work has been featured in museums, television shows, and galleries in the United States and countries around the world.
